Now in its 23rd year of showcasing the best in contemporary art, Waxlander Gallery and Sculpture Garden continues to exhibit an uplifting and exhilarating array of original works in many mediums. Founded by watercolorist Phyllis Kapp, whose interpretations of the southwestern landscape have set the tone for the gallery, Waxlander makes the highest and best use of a historic, 150-year old adobe at the heart of Canyon Road. Like Kapp's watercolors, the rest of the gallery is energetic, unpredictable, exciting, wide-ranging, and captivating - both visually and emotionally.

Acrylic, oil, pastel and mixed media artists and bronze sculptors and outdoor kinetic sculptors are united at Waxlander in their commitment to the highest standards of artistry and craftsmanship; they are distinguished by the utter originality and immense appeal of their works.
